La Farga de la Muga

The large area of 5 hectares, which forms the fascinating Espai Farga, is structured by the old forge located on the edge of the River La Muga. This building, of which there are signs from the Middle Ages, was rebuilt again and again in the course of its history, until its last rehabilitation at the beginning of the current century. The structure, which is wedged on a large rock, was preserved. The added ceilings and walls are made of solid wood, reinforcing the value of stone construction. The river forms a natural pool with access from the House.
